November 2019. I was lying on the couch with a sleeping baby on my chest. The house was quiet, my schedule was on hold, and for the first time in a long time, I didn't have to go anywhere.
And at the same time I thought:
I would actually really like to rejoin life.
Not because it wasn't good; in fact, I enjoyed that rest. But I noticed how difficult it was to go back to the same pace as before.
As if there were only two options: fully on, or fully off. And somewhere I felt that it was also had to be able to do otherwise. That's where Monday began.
I was trained in Design Thinking. There you don't start with a big plan, but with a small experiment.
So I made 100 weekly journals. Mainly to test what happens when you have one set moment in the week to pause for a moment, before already moving on.
What turned out: people did not use it to do more, but to take a breath and pause somewhere.
Today, more than 8,000 people fill out their journal and we have more than 100 outlets worldwide.

In fact, I only have three starting points for each product: it has to work simply, it has to look insane, and it has to be a empowering effect.
They are not agendas or workbooks, but a moment of reflection. Just for you.
The questions are honest and sometimes confrontational.
For example: how do I want to feel this week?
of what did I enjoy?
The card deck acts as a daily reminder of what you actually need, even before you move on again.
You don't have to believe in anything or do anything right. It is not linked to religion or very woolly.
It is only a Way to return to yourself from time to time.
And usually you will find something there: peace, and a little more space to live from attention instead of haste.
about hilde
Slowing down does not mean ambition disappears. Or that you just rest.
It means:
notice more clearly what is important
less being “on” all day
makes choices without haste
have energy left over at the end of your day/week
What I see again and again, is that people are not tired of all the things they are doing, but of not having clarity about their priorities.
When you have a fixed resting point in a day or week, something changes.
You are not going to live slower.
Your life is less fragmented.
With more focus. More attention. More love. More gratitude for what is, rather than being constantly preoccupied with the next thing.
